AMC announced a full-season order for the pilot formerly known as “The Killing.” The adaptation of a successful Danish murder mystery series starts shooting in Vancouver this fall, with a 13-episode run slated for sometime in 2011.

“Cougar Town” showrunner Bill Lawrence has big plans for Season 2 cameos, namely his former “Scrubs” stars Sarah Chalke, Zach Braff, John C. McGinley, Donald Faison and Judy Reyes. He says at least one of them will be stopping by.

“Pushing Daisies” creator Bryan Fuller is returning to TV. The scribe, who also created “Wonderfalls” and “Dead Like Me,” will adapt sci-fi novel “The Lotus Caves” for — you guessed it — SyFy.

“Modern Family,” which previously made a play for an Emmy by promising a nude Sofia Vergara in exchange for a win, released a “For Your Consideration” ad in The Hollywood Reporter. It features young stars Nolan Gould and Rico Rodriguez promising to stay out of the tabloids.

Charlie Sheen backed on the “Two and a Half Men”, ready to rake in the money. Sheen entered a plea deal on Aug. 2 during his sentencing for his Christmas 2009 domestic assault charge.

According to TMZ, Sheen was sentenced to serve 30 days… but not in jail. Sheen will serve out his sentence at the Promises Rehab facility in Malibu — kind of. Since he spent a month at Promises earlier this year (only leaving the grounds to do his job on the “Two and a Half Men” set) and will be getting credit for time served, Sheen has actually already paid his debt to society.

Sheen is expected to check into the facility on August 23 and then check out immediately afterward. As part of the deal, Sheen plead guilty to misdemeanor assault, and the felony charge was dropped.

The highest paid actor on television is currently on his way back to L.A. from Colorado. After all, the show must go on.

“Congratulations Tony [Shalhoub], and congratulations Jon Cryer,” Harris said when he returned to the stage. “Can we find out where he is? Oh, he’s in the press room, of course. That’s where you go when you win.”

Harris, from the stage, asked Cryer, “It’s Neil, up here on the show. How did it feel when they called your name?”

“It felt awesome,” Cryer replied. “The words going through my head were something like, ‘In your face, Neil Patrick Harris.’”

“Shame on you. Follow up question, do you have the envelope with you? Can you just confirm that it says Jon Cryer?”

This year, Cryer got a head start on the banter. Instead of the usual Emmy reaction blurb, he released the following statement to E!.

An open letter to Neil Patrick Harris:

“Hello Neil Patrick Harris,

“It’s me, Jon Cryer, your worst nightmare.

“Yes, that’s right Neil Patrick Harris, the Television Academy has, once again, seen fit to nominate us both in their ‘Oustanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series’ category. Once again we will be joined in a battle of thespianism.”

No, Jon doesn’t stop there: “Will it be like last year, when you wowed the crowd with your singing and dancing, entertained them and made them laugh, showed them that, clearly, you possess more talent in your tiny little pinky than the whole body of that stupid Jon Cryer guy, only to be brutally disappointed when our category was announced? We’ll see, Neil Patrick Harris, we’ll see.

“My lack of talent has taken me this far and I’m betting it won’t let me down again this year. Thankfully, the other gentlemen in this category are also supremely gifted.

“I’m a shoo-in!”

Harris hasn’t responded yet, but we doubt he’ll be quiet for long. Upon hearing of his nomination, he said, “They announce the nominations so early in the morning, that this year I just stayed up all night and had an Emmy rave. So I must say, I’m deeply honored to be nominated, and also, my hair feels so amazing!”

At the night of May 25, on ‘Two and a Half Men’ you saw Charlie, Allen and Jake for the season finale on CBS. While there have been many rumors on whether the cast will return for a new season in the fall, contracts have been signed and the three men who co-star with amazing ratings on the Monday night sitcom will return after summer is over.

The episode in that night could have given anyone an ulcer (if they were in Charlie’s shoes) and definitely worth setting the DVR . Jake becomes Charlie’s driver after Charlie has his license suspended, and to Charlie’s chagrin, Alan makes plans to attend Chelsea’s birthday party creating a lot of friction and making it understandable why the episode is named ‘This isn’t going to End well.’

The ‘Two and A Half Men’ show has celebrated 7 seasons on CBS and even though we tend to be distracted by the personal issues of Charlie Sheen, there isn’t any doubt this show is definitely a wonderful edition to the CBS Monday night lineup in the fall. Since the cast has signed new contracts, it is definite we will see them again, soon.

The chemistry between Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen has made ‘Two and a Half Men’ TV’s top rated comedy. But rumors swirl, Charlie Sheen wants out of the hit sit com, refusing to sign a new contract without a raise upwards of a million dollars per episode.

For breaking contract news, Sheen’s co-star Jon Cryer talking only to KTLA News about the future of the show. “I don’t know what is next for the show. Interesting, everyone is putting a microscope to Charlie Sheen but my understanding is Angus T Jones doesn’t have a deal either. So Angus can blow this whole thing up.”

Jon may be the best comedic actor on TV today, but this father of two takes his Emmy Award winning role very seriously. “It is a very rare experience in show business and I’d love to continue but if that is not in the cards, that’s ok too and I’ll spend some time with my kids and my wife.”

Fans may have to wait until next week to find if their favorite men will be back with new episodes.

So, what will happen if Charlie decides to leave the show?!

Rumor has it that Charlie Sheen, who’s been facing many legal problems after a dispute with his wife Brooke Mueller, has filmed his final episode yesterday. A source tells PEOPLE that: “Charlie “is done” and he is telling that to all his friends but “quietly””.

Charlie did not sign a contract for the 8th season although the producers want him to but all he wants to do is just “move on.”

Charlie is currently facing domestic violence charges, after an incident with his wife on Christmas night. She called the police telling them that Charlie was drunk and he was threatening her and hitting her.

Charlie entered rehab on February 14th and is still there. He goes every night back to the rehab center after his work. He’s there as a “preventative measure.”

A rep for Charlie said: “Charlie’s deal is only through this current season.” It is not known yet if season 8 will continue without Charlie or not, nothing has been determined yet.

Could this be the end of “Two and a Half Men” ?
